Sony Saves Consumers Millions

Sony has announced it will put off the release of its much awaited PlayStation 3 machine until November from its planned spring debut because of delays in finalizing its next-generation disk technology.

Molly Misgauley, head of the Consumer Watch Group of America, said potential buyers can now save the money they expected to spend next month and use the interest to buy the peripheral gear that will go with the game console.

"This will save consumers millions of dollars had Sony released the PlayStation 3 on time,"Misgauley said.
